Anjana Chandran

Anjana is a versatile dancer in various dance forms including Bollywood, Contemporary, Urban, Semi-classical, and the South Indian classical dance forms such as Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam, having trained in the latter for 22 years. Anjana is also known to possess an exquisite understanding of the Abhinaya, clarity of line and a strong rhythmic command of the idiom. This has aided her greatly in her understanding of the movement of the body and shapes and lines it creates. Having won the best Bollywood Dancer award in the AHIA Australian dance competition held in Sydney, Anjana has grown to become a force to be reckoned with in the dance world.

GHAGHRA

Laki Vasan

Dancing since the age of 5, Laki is a highly trained classical and folk dancer, teacher and choreographer, with a passion for spreading her love of Bharatanatyam, Bhangra and Bollywood. She is Co-founder of LAKS Dance Crew, an all girls Bollywood dance crew, as well as Ranjhe, an all boys competitive Bhangra team. She also founded her own Bharatanatyam school and runs classes in all 3 styles in Melbourne, Australia. She has danced in opening acts for numerous high profile Bollywood and Punjabi stars such as Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva, Sidhu Moosewala, Neha Kakkar as well as at the Indian Filmfare Festival Award Ceremony every year.

BHANGRA- JHOOMAR

Prabh Sainii

Dancing since the age of 9, Prabh Saini has established himself as one of the most sought after and respected Bhangra dancers of today. Coach and co-founder of Shaan Punjab Dee, his team has received 6 first-place trophies in a row, including Bruin Bhangra 2019. Other credits include organising Canada’s biggest Bhangra Competition, Bhangra in the 6ix, as well as judging Bhangra Fever 2017 and Bhangra Arena 2018.

BHARATHNATYAM

Shayan Chalan

Shayan Chalan has been training in multiple Indian dance forms for almost 25 years. Her dance training began with Bharathanatyam and she began touring with a dance company at the age of 11. She continued to pursue her passion for dance throughout college, receiving her BA in World Arts and Cultures- Dance from UCLA. Since graduating she has been pursuing a full-time career as a professional Indian dancer in Hollywood making appearances in television, music videos, YouTube networks as well at touring with various dance companies based in Los Angeles and New York. In the sea of fusion dance, Shayan’s goal is to bring authentic Indian dance forms to the main stage.

BHANGRA

Simran Dhaliwal

Simran Dhaliwal has been doing bhangra since she was 6 years old, inheriting her rich, folk culture from her elders. She was an integral member in one of the most well-renowned girls teams in the world, BASS Queens, during their formation in 2016. In 2019, she was the sole female performer in the BASS Boys’ North American circuit campaign, taking out 2nd place at Bhangra Fever and 1st place at Championships of Bhangra. In 2020 she became the first female ever to judge Bhangra Arena in Delhi, India.

URBAN

Rags

Having danced for only 9 years, Rags is proof that passion is all you need to become the dancer of your dreams! She begun with a Bollywood troupe in Singapore, and is renowned for captaining Sher-e-Singapore to winning First Place at Battle of Bollywood 2017 in the UK. Currently, she is a fulltime artist learning and exploring various styles in India such as Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, House, Hip Hop and Waacking. Her multi-faceted training is visible in her intricate and vibrant Urban choreographies!

MASTANI

Raheem Mir

Raheem is one of the most sought after artists of London, UK. Having come from a mixed dance form background, specialising in Kathak, Bhangra and Lyrical Contemporary, he has established his style as one that is full of expression, storytelling and fluidity of a form, that allows new and interesting aspects of expression to truly lose one’s self in the movement and moment, is a blessing. When you say “RAHEEM”, you know you’re in for a ride of a dance!

URBAN CONTEMPORARY

 Hafeez Hasan

Hafeez Hassan, a professional Dancer, choreographer and fitness trainer began his dance journey at 7 under the tutelage of his father who taught him traditional Malay martial arts; Silat - an art form which fuses “Bunga” (dance) and fighting gestures. Hafeez’s training then included breakdancing, hip hop, contemporary and jazz, to name a few. His exposure towards different styles has progressively moulded the niche style he represents, which he’d love to share to the world.

Abhisri Negi

Abhisri is classically trained in Bharatanatyam beginning at the age 5. This laid the foundations for discipline, technique, expression and grace in her working style and ethic. Throughout her experience and years as a dancer, she sought out to broaden her versatility through training in various styles of dance including Bollywood, Contemporary, Jazz and Bhangra, having train with BASS Queens for 4 years as well as captaining the team for the past 1.

FUSION

Aseer

Aseer is a fusion dancer, choreographer & instructor from New York. He founded the urban fusion team “Eclipse” in 2016, has performed with several companies and has experience in judging desi dance competitions. Aseer’s style is a pure vibe, an amalgamation of emotions and expression, and one that can’t be described – its an experience!
